Printing with Sunshine - Cyanotype workshops
I periodically run workshops around Richmond, London, where students spend a fun and creative three hours learning about the history of cyanotype and how to make cyanotype prints.
You will be guided through the process by an experienced teacher and have time to experiment with your own ideas. You will take home a collection of your own beautiful, unique prints, and the knowledge of how to make more at home - to frame, give as gifts or use as raw material for your own mixed media craft projects or scrapbooking. In some workshops we also use the prints we have made to make notebooks using Japanese Bookbinding technique, or use a cyanotype print to cover a cylindrical light holder or vase.

After the workshop one of the participants sent me this lovely card which they had made from a cyanotype print they made on the workshop!
EN has embroidered the print, added sparkles and stuck it onto a contrasting yellow background to make a beautiful card. She kindly agreed to let me share her artwork here to show you an example of want you can do with your prints after a workshop.
Cyanotype is fun and accessible for people of all ages. I have also taught workshops in my local primary school for years 1, 5 and 6, and on two residential holiday camps for children aged 8 - 11.
